We invite you to be our guest at CODE University of Applied Sciences for two semesters.

Before beginning your QUEST, you will need to choose between our two learning tracks: Full-Stack Web Developer and User Interface Designer.

Both tracks offer a curriculum that will equip you with all of the skills you need to kick off your career in tech.

YOUR YEAR AT QUEST

Your year at QUEST begins with the onboarding days in mid July 2024. Over some event-packed days, you will learn everything you need to know to start your learning adventure at CODE University of Applied Sciences. You will get to know your way around the impressive CODE campus and meet your fellow learners who will join you along the way.

You will have two semesters for your QUEST. Have a look at each semester’s rough outline and read through the curriculum preview below.

(Aug 5 – Dec 13, 2024)

Semester One: LEARN

During your first semester, you will take 2-3 modules at CODE alongside the enrolled students.

You will also put these new skills to good use by completing portfolio-ready projects with guidance from your module coordinators. CODE’s project-based, curiosity-driven approach to learning means that you have the freedom to focus on learning the skills that you want to prioritize while tailoring your projects towards ideas that spark your interest.

And if you still want more: In between your learning units (that’s CODE speak for classes) you will be invited to attend additional workshops and events with oh so much opportunity for skill-building, networking, and fun!

(Feb – May 2025)

Semester Two: APPLY

During the second semester, you will have the opportunity to continue consolidating your technical skills whilst putting more emphasis on your job search.

We will support your job search with additional career workshops and mentoring to help you polish your CV, get to grips with LinkedIn, and prepare for the interview process.

This is also your opportunity to attend even more networking events. You might even meet your next employer on CODE’s Partner Day!

Already secured a job before or during this semester? Fantastic! And lucky you, because we will still support you while you settle into your next big adventure.

Two paths to choose from ⬇️

Full-Stack Web Developer

On this track, you will learn how to build and maintain the entire infrastructure of a web application. You will learn front-end and back-end development, including developing the user interface and managing the server and database. You will use various programming languages such as JavaScript for front-end development and your choice of language for back-end development (popular languages at CODE include Node.js and Python), and learn to use HTML and CSS effectively. Upon completing this track, you will have the skills needed to create and maintain a functional web application from start to finish.

On your QUEST to becoming a Full-Stack Web Developer, you will take two modules alongside CODE University of Applied Sciences enrolled students. By the end of these modules, you will have completed at least one portfolio-ready project to demonstrate your new skills.

You can read more about each module in CODE’s module handbook.
